Welcome to the first Black Sheep Sports news letter.  These will be published weekly to keep you up to date with what is happening with the events organised.

In addition a monthly news letter will be circulated with up to date news, reviews and dates for your diary.

Black Sheep Sports Ltd is a new venture that combines the complimentary business operations of Race Timing Systems, Heartbeat Events, Tri Coaching UK and the Nemesis Results service, under the name Black Sheep Sports.

Well that was a great day!

We have put this race on for three years now and the conditions have never been so good!! With the heavy rain yesterday turning the quiet streams into raging torrents, and the mud with that extra gluppy texture, you know the sort that just loves to stick to your shoes. And a new pond to negotiate that some had to swim to get across! Even after all that everyone had a smile on their face as the crossed the finish line and gave us some great feedback , while tucking into their hot soup and Black Sheep ale. There will be some more of these types of races coming soon, just keep an eye our website to find out when and where..Thanks to the Goss family for allowing us to use their farm and quarries and helping out with various tasks throughout the event. And finaly a big thanks to all the helpers today, from the registration team, finish line team, the food team and last but buy no means least the marshals.

The Chicks Chase Womens only series will be back in 2009 with some exciting new races around the Uk

Snow in at Easter? The weather was about as mad as our 150+ competitors. These braves souls showed up, stripped down to just four layers of lycra running gear each and set out on what started out as a very cold snowy winter run and ended as a very cold muddy winter run. After about 30 minutes of racing the weather broke a little and the snow melted into mud. I can't say the water got warmer but it didn't deter anyone one little bit. The two lappers running the inaugural 16 mile Double Bypass didn't have to go through the water until there last lap - no one likes people floating face down in the water - but on lap two they dove in just as keenly as the Cardiac competitors did.
