London Triathlon 2010
Looking for London Triathlon results?
RTS were asked to help enhance the London Triathlon results service by providing a print solution to allow athletes to query live results and produce a hard copy in receipt-style format to take away. This we duly did, along with display screens, simple numeric keypad interface and friendly staff all wrapped around a 60m cable connecting directly into the existing timing providers live results output.
If you're looking for results for this event please visit the London Triathlon website.

Last night (2-Aug-2010) We conducted an impromptu test of our new Pulse 8500 UHF timing system at the regular monday night Team MK TT. This event takes part on open roads and covers a 9.6 mile loop from Stony Strattford to Whaddon and back. Riding is fast paced with the top guys hitting speeds around 45km/h.
Champion Triathlete Tim Don (2nd place) took part along with local stars mild mannered Mike "Bike" Smith (winner), John Dennis (3rd) and Team MK coach Mark Booth (4th) to name just the top four.
Thank you to all riders who took part in this test. Your race results are available in a franchised results page which is available here:

London to Paris in 24 hours flawlessly timed

Last weekend we timed the Action Challenge 24 hour London to Paris event and it went off flawlessly. Using our brand spanking new UHF equipment, which utilises low cost, light-weight non-intrusive, paper thin chips attached to the cyclists' helmets, we were able to offer split second timing accuracy, athlete stage location - on course #/on bus # and more.
This whole event went off flawlessley. Action Challenge clearly know their business.

RTS times the Deloitte Ride Across Britain.
From 12th to 20th of June 600 intrepid cyclists are travellng all the way from John O'Groats to Lands End and Race Timing Systems are timing them. This is called the Deloitte Ride Across Britain. Each day riders are checked out, set off to ride around 115 miles before completing the day at the final check point.
This is a non competitive sportive event meaning the times are used for safety and interest rather than racing performance. That's not to say they're not accurate. We're using technology capable of timing cyclists to the hundreth of a second. We know which state each athlete is on at any point in the ride.
These results will not be published to our website and instead area available via enquiry to the Deloitte Ride Across Britain team.

Where's my time?
As timers we regularly get a tough time from athletes who fail to follow the instructions or attend the race briefing. Wear your chip as directed and avoid all the nonsense:
- Flat tags go on the shoe
- Velcro straps go on the ankle. Chip to remain vertical.
- Bike mounted chips go on the front forks. Chip to remain vertical.
