MK-Movember 2011

Thanks to all the athletes and helpers who made this years Movember 10k in MK the best yet.. Great weather, nice atmosphere, solid tough 10k course. Superb. We had some great performances with local lady Francis Malin romping home as first female. Respect to Steffen Sorrensen our visiting business partner from Denmark easing himself round the course in just over 40 minutes to come in 11th. Full results are available here

Deep Water Finish Now Available

Today saw the first deployment of our new deep water finish line solution for timing open water swimming at the Human Race Windsor Open Water Swim. Our innovative solution is an entirely new approach to the problem of capturing athlete information in a deep water finish situation: Athletes wear a paper thin disposable chip on their heads, stuck to the swim cap. To 'cross' the line the athlete simply swims through the finish line gantry. No need to touch anything No need to carry an awkward wrist mounted chip. Finish line SMS

Our Finish line SMS service allows us to distribute results directly to athletes as they arrive in our database. The athlete can cross the finish line of a triathlon, sportive, duathlon, running, walking, cycling event and in moments an SMS message is sent to their nominated phone numbers. Each SMS message can be sent out to multiple recipients so friends, relatives and spectators can be notified of an athletes finish times nearly instantly.
